Florida Trip

For Kyle's birthday Kambree and I treated him to a trip to Orlando. We had a blast. It was the first surprise that I have actually been able to pull off. We had a short trip and both decided that we will definitely go back. We started from Boise and then flew to Orlando. We packed as much as we could into our 3 day visit. We hit Sea World and my favorite part was the flamingos. Kyle road a 'scary' rollercoaster (that is according to Kambree). Kambree loved petting the manta rays. Well ok, she loved the thought of petting them. She would laugh an squeal but when one would pull it's face out of the water to beg her for food, she did not like that so much.
Of course we could not go without seeing the Magic Kingdom. Kambree had such a fun time there! She saw almost every character and got pictures with them all. Her favorite ride was Dumbo but really she was happy with all of them that we went on. She loved looking at everything and all the characters. She really didn't know Disney characters before we went but by the end of the day she could pick them out no problem. Her favorites are Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse. We walked into the room to see Mickey, not knowing that Minnie would be there too. When she saw Minnie she gasped and said 'Minnie'! Such a cutie. When she got to meet Donald she was in love. She hugged and kissed him and didn't want anything to do with Goofy who was standing on the other side of her. Actually, when Goofy tried to get her attention, she punched him in the nose!
We did manage to squeeze in 1 day at the beach. We drove to Cocoa Beach and it was just beautiful. Kambree loved chasing the sea gulls all over the place. Of course that made everyone else happy because she was keeping them away from them! Once she tired of that she tried putting all the sand back into the ocean. I enjoyed the beach too because I met up with a dear friend from Ohio. It was nice to catch up in person.

At Sea World Kambree loved the fish and the birds. She could've spent all day just watching them. She wasn't very interested in the shows but the animals were very fun.
Kambree proved herself to be a very good traveler. With no major melt downs we have decided that we can travel with her all the time. I am just thankful for the portable DVD player and the 1 Elmo movie that we had. Who knew a child could watch the very same 50 minute video 118 times in a week? Now that we have been home Kambree tells stories about her trip. It is so funny to listen to her mix words with hand signs to try to tell us about giving Mickey a high five or the flying Dumbo. What a crack up!
