Kambree got caught peeking in her presents on Christmas Eve. It was so cute I got it on video. It is certain that she is related to Grammy Joni and Aunt Laura.

Kambree's first Christmas was great!

Christmas 2008

Kambree loved the lights on the Christmas tree and really didn't want to touch anything on it. She was interested in all the colors and designes on the gifts. She would get so excited to look at them. I think I am lucky she can't crawl yet!

We took Kambree to midnight mass, which has been our tradition for years. She did not like having to get out of bed at all. She finally fell asleep during the service. She looked so beautiful in her Christmas dress. She even had a pretty red and black coat to wear with it.

Kambree is so social and loves talking to everyone. I was not worried at all to take her to see Santa. She was fed and just up from a nap, she was going to give mom a great picture with Santa! As soon as we set her in his arms, she cried. We could not believe it. He was so nice and talking to her and playing with her....no way. She didn't like him. Oh well, I guess everyone gets the crying picture of Santa, right!?

Christmas morning was pretty normal for us. Kambree got up around 7:30. She had breakfast and then we showed her all of the things Santa brought. She opened 1 present by herself and that was about enough for her. She was very interested in what was under the wrapping so that was fun. She made out like a little bandit this year. She got lots of clothes and toys. Kyle gave her a care bear that he got just from him. Melissa gave her a jewlery box for all of her jewlery. After everything was opened, she was buried in all the paper and gifts. It was quite a sight. She had so much fun playing with the paper and listening to it crunch in her hands. She had to taste all of her new things. I guess they passed the taste test.

The best part of the day was when we got a special gift from Kambree. She thought of it all by herself and didn't have to spend any of her allowance on it....she gave us a 2 1/2 hour nap. Kyle and I napped right along with her. It was GREAT! What a thoughtful girl. She knew exactly what we needed/wanted for Christmas.

Funny Pictures of Kambree

Here are some of our fun times with Kambree. We work together during the day. She loves being out and about and knows just what kind of clothes she likes. Kambree loves bath time and having coffee with dad in the morning....not really, but it sure looks like it!

Thanksgiving

Kambree's first Thanksgiving was spent in Salt Lake City with Kyle and his basketball team. We had lots of fun sharing our food with her. She got to try sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, and she even sucked on the green beans. She loved it all.

Grandparents
Kyle's parents came down to visit and spend time with Kambree. It was so fun to see them and they just had the best time with her.

More Family
When we got home from SLC, we were met by Aunt Erin, Uncle Charlie, Dylon, Heidi and Gram. We spent the week visiting and having fun. Kambree got her first pedi from her gram and spent lots of time playing and being held.

Kambree's 3 Month Pictures

Kambree was a cutie pie while we were taking pictures. I was really surprised that we got as many good ones as we did. They all turned out really well.

I was lucky enough to get Kyle away from work for a few minutes to get a family picture taken. I was glad he came. I needed him to get Kambree to smile. The photographer and I were doing everything short of jumping jacks to get her to smile. She snuck in a few big smiles that we got.

I was so surprised to see the pictures. She looks so much like Kyle. Their baby pictures are identical. She is such a sweetie and she loves to smile and play. She is very social. She would rather play with someone than by herself. She loves to talk to anyone who will look at her. I wonder where she got the gift of gab :)

Kambree's First Halloween

Kambree had a fun first Halloween. She went to Coach Shaefer's house to do a little trick-or-treating. In Iowa they do it on the night before Halloween and call it Begger's Night. She was the cutest little black cat. On Halloween day she wore her costume all day to go scouting with dad. She didn't mind the hood at all. The makeup didn't make it all day but it worked out.

Mom made dad carve a pumpkin with Kambree. I think we had more fun playing than she did. Too bad we didn't get a bigger one, she would've fit in it better!

Ear Piercing

Well, we did it. Kambree had her first fashion day. She did SO great getting her ears pierced. Getting it pierced wasn't the worst part. She hated being held still to get it done. Her poor little ears are so small that the earring sticks out but they are adorable! She got a certificate saying that she was a VIP (Very important princess) for the day and a gift certificate for an earring holder when they are healed. Now she won't be mistaken for a boy :)

Our First Milestone

So we had a big day last week.....Kambree rolled over! It was so fun to watch her. I am very lucky to be with her during all of these firsts. She did it over and over again for a couple of days. Now I can't get her to do it....aparently she's done doing tricks on demand :)

Trip to Montana

Kambree has been quite the traveler. After her 20 hour road trip with mom, Aunt Erin, and cousin Heidi we made it to Des Moines. 3 weeks later Kambree had her first plane ride back to Montana for Aunt Laura's wedding. Kambree loves traveling so much her and I went to Boise for a conference. Luckily Amy, Owen, and Seth played with Kambree during most of the conference (THANK YOU!). She loves being out and about. I'm not sure yet when her next trip will be.....
